Snow globes are thought to have been developed in Europe during the late 17th or early 18th centuries, perhaps as a variant on the decorative and functional glass paperweights popular at that time. Snow globes are one of the easiest souvenirs to collect. Snow globes are often a little tiny universe that you can hold in your hand. Snow globes are a relatively young decorative invention when compared to other ornaments such as vases, urns, porcelain figures and mirrors. Snow globes aren’t just for Christmas any longer.
